On July 4, 2000, the weather caused the postponement of all celebrations at the park in Stoneville, NC. The festivities were rescheduled on Saturday, July 7th but all previously booked entertainment were no longer available.
Jake & Chuck Hundley contacted the Mayor of Stoneville, Rex Tuggle and volunteered to provide music for the afternoon. After rounding up all their personal CD's and borrowing from anyone that would let them, they hauled home stereo equipment to the stage, set up and played their first event for about 300 people.
Before leaving the night of the Stoneville event, the Hundley's booked their first "paid" event and Party Reinforcers was created.
About 6 months later Barry Smith offered to join the Hundleys to help with lighting and special effects. As a result, the trio now plays most every weekend and are considered the most "Sought-After" DJ's in North Central North Carolina and South Central Virginia.
The Party Reinforcers are proud to boast the use of State Of The Art equipment for sound and lighting. Pioneer CD players through a Peavey PA System combine to produce crisp clear highs while providing floor pounding bass. Our light systems are music driven and offer effects such as smoke emitting mirror balls as well as numerous rotating laser effects. A 20 ft. x 8 ft. setup including lights and sound will compliment any event.
The Party Reinfocer's will cater their show for any event to include your type of music. From "Oldies" and Disco of the 70's to the Pop and Rap of today and most genres in between including: Beach, Rock, Country, Soul and College party music. We do not specialize in Bluegrass or Classical music. We also play WAV files to preserve the original quality of the recorded songs. We do not use any MP3's or compressed audio files. Our music and specialized lighting are sure to help you make your party one that will be remembered for years to come.
The Party Reinforcers will consider playing at any event. We do have a large amount of wedding experience including services, receptions, rehearsal dinners and bachelor parties. The Party Reinforcers will also DJ at outdoor or public events, private parties and can provide background music for any nonparty atmosphere. Please contact us to discuss your next event.
A charter member of the trio, Chuck is the actual "Disc Jockey". He controls the two CD players, a 16 channel mixer, amps and equalizer for the sound system. He is a proud father of two and currently teaches for the Rockingham County School System. Chuck's main responsibility is to help Jake and Barry.
Jake Hundley is the Icon of the group. Also a founding member of the group, Jake dictates the play list for all shows. He is well versed in all genres of music. However, he is the best at the "old stuff" primarily because he is the oldest of the Party Reinforcers. Jake remembers when the Bee-Gees were born. Also as the organizer, Jake handles the majority of the planning for most shows especially wedding receptions. He also keeps Chuck and Barry in line and makes sure that everything is set up exactly to his specifications. Jake (Mr. P.A.) keeps things lively and exciting. He is the one you most likely hear talking on the microphone. (Note: Please do not ask him to sing. You would not like this!!!)
At 53, Jake is married and has one daughter. During the day, Jake works at Hundley's Inc. in Stoneville. Jake's main responsibility is to rely on Chuck and Barry.
Barry joined the Party Reinforcers shortly after the onset and provides technical support as the lighting and special effects coordinator. His expertise is a result of years of residential and commercial electrical installation. Barry is also a proud husband and father of two and is currently employed by Duke Energy. His main responsibility is to help Chuck and Jake.
